    This game was amazing.
Not as good as Explorers in my opinion, but still a damn improvement from Gates.

Explorers has been the best PMD in my opinion. This one is close, and despite the first PMD will always be the one who started it all and will always have a special place, I think this one is well above it.

  • I wonder where this image was found, every version that I have seen has the 'illustration by *blah*', even the 3ds theme background

  • The first actually used dungeons to drive the story forward, and you couldn't continue until you beat a story dungeon. In PSMD, you just went through a dungeon and the story happened afterwards as cut scenes, which I actually didn't like. Thus, it's only second best to Pokemon Red Dungeon team.Sorry, didn't play the others since I was busy.

  • I hate the fact that I live in Brazil and Nintendo's games/consoles are really expensive. Besides that, I finished PMD Gates to Infinity, and everyone hates me because I think PMD is better than Pokémon.
I mean, I love Strategy RPG, and when I played pokémon for the first time, I really wanted to play a Srpg of pokémon... And ta-dã, I've played the demo, bought the game, and now it is my favorite.
The fact that the game Has pokémons, which are stonger or weaker with other types makes this game kinda different, because you can't just play like a child, you have to think about health, the pokémon you are fighting and the pokémon that are on your team, meaning that you do not have to choose death while you are playing.
And besides that, I (idiotically) made bonds with the pokémon I met in PMD GTI.
    Best game ever. 10/10.
The only "thing" that they had to do is a full multiplayer campaing with your loved starters.
Wait, I ran away from the primary topic...

Don't neglect the rest of Chunsoft's oevure (Roguelikes are kinda their thing), or NetHack (The grandaddy of all roguelikes).

That's a hot take that I'm gonna make even spicier, unspoil if you promise you won't get mad at me: I think Super is just as bad as Gates (but they're both bad for very different reasons :D)

(Spoilers btw): Story pacing felt completely off (starting off so slow in the first village before moving out and speedrunning the rest of the story with the Guild felt pretty bad), did not like how the Emera system felt almost like gambling since you'd sometimes end up with completely useless Emeras and you'd be far worse off in a dungeon for it, Dark Matter felt like a pretty generic rehash of the Bittercold from Gates, the ending is honestly comical with how they drop these huge twists on you before immediately rolling the credits (felt WAY less impactful than Explorers ending as a result), having to constantly rely on wands made your characters feel pretty weak, the Connection Orb as gameplay just didn't interest me all that much, I'm sure there's others but this is just from the top of my head after playing it years ago
