MemberFirstly I was massively dissapointed in had hoped theyd find a way to bring every abstraction back to their original forms and jax would've been saved and sure they cant escape the circus but theyd have everyone together LITERALLY everyone, but no it was actually annoyingly sad that it ended that way and it made the entire series unrewatchable because I know what happens in the end so none of it matters im just extremely upset how they ended it...

I thought the finale was fine. Sure the ending was a bit melodramatic, but it's the ending, it can have a . I think the biggest issue it has is that relied way too much on "show, don't tell." Caine somehow surviving deletion and the process of learning the characters real lives were the main problems of that. It kinda forces viewers to look up what was going on or bother Gooseworx about it (God bless her soul).
As for reversing abstractions, I believe Gooseworx confirmed this herself, but abstracting is metaphor for suicide and I don't know if you know this, when people die from suicide, they don't come back. So reversing abstractions was never on the table. Suicide is also not something people who commit it build up to an audience in a showmen kinda way, it's usually done behind closed doors and happens suddenly, like how it suddenly cuts to Jax abstracted. Overall, I think the finale is fine for what it is.

MemberI was genuinely surprised to see how many people hated the finale/thought it was wasted.
As for me, I don’t think I’ll be rewatching the series any time soon. Not because I thought it was bad, far from it. I loved every episode. It’s just... I think it reopened some old wounds that I forgot I even had. I relate to Jax a bit more than I’d like.
