MemberGuess we'll have to wait for Chapter 7 to know for sure if this happened or not.
I hadn't picked up on the Goner's flub of getting UT/DT currencies mixed up nor the Gaster motif in the Festival ost on my initial playthrough. But knowing them along with this possible revelation leads to so many interesting implications about what the world of Deltarune is and it's relation to Undertale.
The impression I am getting is that the world of Deltarune wasn't some naturally existing separate dimension that Gaster just stumbled upon but rather an artificial construct made by Gaster himself that he has sent his followers into to report back, observe, and make sure "things run smoothly".
I'm really curious as to where the story is going and what (if any) definitive answers Deltarune will leave us with at Ch7's end.
