Neferu x Cassius [Tenacity 21/365]

Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️❤️❤️

Exotic pairing, I know, I know...

My headcannon that this is the alternative timeline where Cassius fell for Neferu (who wouldn't?) instead of falling into for bigotry and xenophobia.

Total time spent: 24 hours.

Blacklisted

WOW. Did you draw this on a real canvas, with real oil paint? This is something really amazing; the way their arms complete the heart on the sky is beautiful, but what I can't get over are the brushstrokes. You can see how the light reflects on each little brush stroke, I get the feeling that if you rotated the canvas sideways and angled your head in a specific way, you'd still be able to discern the marks of paint the brush left on it. The colors are also absolutely majestic, I love how the painting is mostly magenta, so the gold bits that serve as an accent really tie everything together; the only thing I'd add is more highlights on the gold so it really looks like it's reflecting on the setting sun's rays.

The pairing is really cute as well, but what made me smile was the 24 total hours spent detail at the end. Sometimes I feel a bit guilty when I take my time with some art, and generally artists are pushed to roll out more and more art nowadays due to how unfavorable most social media algorithms are to artists, but it really made my day when I saw that you took your time with the piece; as a matter of fact, it really motivated me to work more slowly on a piece that I am painting right now to really carve out the finer details. Thanks aha I really love how this came out and I also checked out some more art that you posted on the and it's all eye candy as well, thanks for inspiring me

Wow, thank you for kind words! I'm so happy to hear that I inspired you!
I work on a piece until it just feels done - that's my approach to art.

Sadly, this isn't real oil on canvas, but I will be branching out into doing oil painting as soon as I can! As of now, I just don't have neither money nor space to do oil painting - but oil is a medium that resonates the most with me, so I'll start painting with them as soon as I can

This is done digitally with a pack of brushes called "Memileo Impasto" (works only in Krita):

Wow, I honestly couldn't tell! It really does look like an authentic photo of a real life oil painting. Absolutely in awe, keep up the wonderful work! Suffice to say you earned yourself an avid fan
