If you're referring to animals in of nieche, here are some ideas from the top of my head:
Anything prehistoric; maybe a take on dinosaurs according to newer science (protofeathers,lips, more colorful) Or an archeopterix, since you seem to enjoy birbs.
Maybe an armadillo, or a hermelin (those ferrets kings wore)
Or a Wolpertinger(just Google that or anything from folklore)
Maybe a liger (good for a sub since infertile)

MemberI saw your other comment, and I hate to kill the excitement but I do tend to personally think of my characters as intersex rather than trans- just sorta 'born that way'. There are a few reasons for this, but none of them come from any negative opinion of the trans community. :P
However, I also have absolutely no issue if people view them as trans and don't typically correct people if they're referred to that way, unless specifically asked like in this case. At the end of the day I just want people to like the stuff I make so you can think of them however maximizes your enjoyment!
