This artist publicly stated they use AI backgrounds in many of their creations, but backgrounds are one of the few uses of AI that are allowed here based on the guidelines
There's also an alternate version of this post where they used AI to add some visual effects, but that's not this post.
Those are the two big pieces of information that have recently changed.
So far as I can tell, this post follows the rules contained in the guidelines though.
