To be honest I wasn't too into the suselle ship before; felt so forced and one-sided, even with the ferris wheel scene Susie could have just been appreciating the company. Chapter 4 really changed it though, the scenes they got were incredibly carefully written to feel very natural and adorable, Noelle's courage grew a ton from chapter 2 and their chemistry was amazing, and Susie more apparently likes her back too.

I mean that kind of was the point in Ch1 & 2 in it establishes that Noelle was having a crush on Susie & the joke was Susie was completely oblivious to it (at least initially). I always sorta read Susie's parting words to Noelle on the Ferris wheel as being the moment that Susie begins to share some of those same feelings towards Noelle.

These latest chapters seem to be now hinting towards the idea of Susie possibly developing feelings further but seems to be struggling with low self-esteem & the feeling that she doesn't deserve someone like Noelle. At least that was my read.

the weird thing for me is that Susie to me feels like she could date any of the main characters but due to new developments (only seen bits and pieces of chapter 4 and played chapter 3)
    Susie strikes me as polyamorous

Yeah, I was actually kind of thinking things wouldn't go as expected though and Susie would end up being aro and/or ace (at least for now) and just wanting friends, not romance. Equally loving all the tea flavors and being SO far from a "romantic" in any way early on, things like that, whole Noelle seemed OBSESSED with Susie without really knowing her, really painted the picture to me that there would eventually come a point where while Susie liked her a lot as a friend she wouldn't reciprocate romantically. But like I said, CH4 in particular really changed that, really made an actually healthy, mutual romantic relationship much more plausible.

I get Kyleet's comment though, it does seem also reasonable that Susie likes multiple characters to an extent at which it wouldn't be surprising if it developed into romantic feelings, but it feels so "bros 4 life" with Kris and she's already aware of Ralsei's situation as a darkner, so... I dunno. The Rouxls poly stuff was hilarious though and if it ended up being done more seriously in a future event I wouldn't be terribly surprised lol, I know susie/noelle/kris as a trio is becoming a popular ship though I'm not quite on that train. I feel Kris might end up being what I thought Susie would at first, starved for real friendship but not romance.

I predict Ch5 is where a lot of the Noelle angst is going to be playing out since it seems to be taking place during the festival & Susie made a point to Carol that she's taking her so it'll be exciting to see how their relationship plays out. It'll also be a good opportunity for Noelle to come clean to Susie about her feelings & challenge Susie's internal belief that she doesn't deserve someone like Noelle.
