MemberI get the idea the creator was going g for but I can't not think this. Based the Meowscarada's design it can mean two things, one being she has some sort of mutation which makes her look like that and which I can somewhat get why people are disgusted by her. And the option 2, all female pokemon in this world are built this way, cause if it's latter then I doubt no one else hasn't or isn't fucking their own pokemon in secret. Also he's alive, which is surprising because given how this world viewed trainer x pokemon relationships I figured he and his Meowscarada would be burnt like witches.
