I hope this doesn't work exactly on force rules, becuase this might take a turn to the dark side real quick in that case.

  • I spy explicit acknowledgement of lack of protection and permission to go without it. Now hopes are raised they end up making some little Star Knights during this.

That was always something I found both Jedi and Sith to be morons about. Force sensitivity seems to be ed down, which implies that by NOT having kids, and outright banning it in the case of the Jedi, they're culling the force OUT of the galaxy. If they DID get hitched (or not and just had kids anyway) that would be quite literally making the next generation of force-s. Instead they're doing the opposite and decreasing the potential amount.

problem is, emotional attatchements like that is a breeding pot for falling to the dark side.
Master and or apprentices watching eachother die already often leads to that happening, but what if someone were to murder a jedi's kid? Not just that, but being a jedi is painting a giant target on your back, and if a jedi would have a family they would just be used as bargaining chips against them.

this and more is exactly why they don't do it. Anakin is like the go to example why it is a horrible idea. The mere idea of Pé dying was enough for him to become a deranged dark side psycopath in the matter of hours. Jedi's are they way they are for a reason, becuase extreme emotions like love are super dangerous for people that actively engage with the force.

The Sith have the excuse that the less of them there are, the more powerful the remaining ones become because the dark side energy in the universe becomes focused in on just those two. That's part of why the "rule of two" was established. I don't know if it works the same for Jedi.
