    A lot of pet-keepers nowadays in a nutshell. Whether it be a bird, a dog, a cat, a hamster...

    It's often about the 'having' part, but rarely about the 'loving' part. And I know enough people who bought a dog, a cat or any other pet, often even as a single pet, not with any second company, and then only spending very little time with them.

    It's very sad, honestly...

    especially when pets are bought as gifts on xmas for someone who is not ready to take care of one. Those then end up in a shelter or dieing on a street, cause no one cares any more. Seen it happen
