Sgt. Frog, also known in Japan as Keroro Gunsō (ケロロ軍曹, lit. 'Sergeant Keroro'), is a comedy manga series by Mine Yoshizaki, which was first serialized in Monthly Shōnen Ace in April 1999. It was later adapted into an anime TV series directed by Junichi Sato, which was produced by Sunrise and ran on TV Tokyo and its s from 2004 to 2011.

It follows a platoon of frog-like alien, who hail from the planet Keron, and their attempts to invade Earth (or "Pekopon" as they call it). Sergeant Keroro, the titular character of the series, is the leader of the platoon, but is at the mercy of a human family known as the Hinatas, and forced to do meaningless chores and errands for the family. Keroro is also an incompetent leader and has little interest of conquering Pekopon, instead wasting his time procastinating by watching TV, building model kits, or finding schemes to make money. Other of the platoon include the adorable yet emotionally unstable Private Second Class Tamama; aggressive yet tender Corporal Giroro; mischievous yet intelligent Sergeant Major Kururu; and diciplined yet traumatized Dororo.

The series takes its comedy from a combination of wordplay (particularly puns and homophones), physical humor, situational irony, breaking of the fourth wall, and numerous Japanese pop culture references (especially franchises like Gundam and Evangelion). Various anime, games, manga, and other aspects of pop culture are parodied or referenced throughout as a bonus to older viewers.
