Emily Blunt, Michael Peña, Taye Diggs and Zoe Saldana are all very wonderful VAs, but quite possibly expensive as all hell to cast on a regular basis. MLP:FiM might be a big show and all, but it may not have the budget to cast those big names as often as they might be needed.
Granted, that is just a theory. I reserve the right to be wrong and figure I may be.
