And with a full commissions they have to listen to the commissioners annoying detailed background and pose requests.)

They are superb artists and make a fair amount of money with their art, because people are ready to pay those prices. There is nothing wrong with that.

After taking a closer look and reading (for example) wolfblade's journals I actually pity him a little bit. He could fill a whole book with his bitter thoughts on angry mobs that hate him for "being too expensive" and furaffinity's perceived injustices and problems while actually being unable to leave furaffinity because that's where the paying s are...
It looks like a lot of commission artists are struggling and juggling with difficult financial situations from month to month. Once people actually start talking, writing or whining about being able or unable to pay bills and rents you know they are not living a life I ever want to live.

My parents carried me all the way to college and now I am making enough money to live by myself with a part time job in the area I am studying in.
So no, there not a shred of bitterness or envy for those artists who are heavily dependent on getting money by doing commissions for self proclaimed "furrys" that often act impudent, greedy and sometimes even openly retarded.

Commissioners should be aware though, that those character position auctions give them less individual art for a higher price.
A single character by fasttrack37d is £100, two characters are £200.
At the current auction the position with the highest paying commissioner is at £130 and it's a character partially hidden that worships the artist characters feet. All other slots are at £100 or higher, the price you get a detailed single character image for. And now you are getting your character as an unimportant part of a huge orgy with other characters you might not like while he is worshiping, massaging, fondling, touching and licking the artists characters who are bumping glasses.
If I'd ever feel the need to get an individualized piece of porn I would never take one of those spot commissions but an equally expensive or cheaper personal commission with exactly what I want to see. And believe me, those two will be the first on my mind if I ever decide that I am having £100 too much in my pocket and want personal porn.

people who rely solely on commissions are silly. Sure, I GUESS maybe they just couldn't find a job. I've seen some furry artists have that as their sole source of income and then go down in flames because the commissions slowed down.

I guess it may be hard to find a job if you're like 25 and never completed highschool or had a real job before.

The economy is awful currently. Anyone is lucky to find a job, so a lot of people have to rely solely on commissions. Even if they have the qualifications for a job, there's still quite a bit of competition.

How is doing art as a full time job 'silly'? Art is a perfectly viable career path, and is no less 'valid' than any other occupation.
