The Loss of True Friend
Today Equestria lost a true hero and a true friend. Long time resident and bearer of the Last Element of Harmony Twilight Sparkle ed away this afternoon sometime during her farewell parade. The send off as planned by Pinkamena (Pinkie) Diane Pie III, was as wondrous and uplifting a party as her namesake would have wished for her friend as she left for a retirement in Canterlot including a demonstration from the Wonderbolts with new recruits twins Skyfire and Moondancer (granddaughters of Rainbow Dash).
Given her age and slowly failing health, Princess Celestia convinced her eldest pupil and closest friend to live with her and her sister in Canterlot Castle. She had just past her 81st birthday this past Lunday and is survived by her Assistant and long time friend Spike, her daughter Light Shimmer, and her granddaughter Star Sparkle.
In honor of her ing, Princess Luna will be adding a constellation not only to honor Twilight but all six of the Bearers of the elements of harmony. They will Sparkle most brightly during the hours of Twilight.
