I don't agree that all artists should have to work manga creator hours, a livable income and the ability to enjoy life shouldn't be a one or the other situation. For anyone. On top of that, I also think most people underestimate how long quality pieces take in the first place. Plus, maybe some are just slower than others despite the same amount of effort... maybe...

Otherwise though, I do agree that being stingy on commission s specifically definitely isn't cool, and the basic idea of the two year rule made sense. Sure, two years was probably too little time, but removing the cutoff entirely? There's got to be some point where you can assume that if people haven't paid for something yet, they probably never will, and therefore putting the content out is no longer lost income. And don't take this as someone who just wants more free stuff to consume, because I'm on the supply side of art myself. I'm typing this right now instead of chugging away on commissions. I'm mostly happy it's getting less difficult for artists to make a living, but I still feel like there's some overstepping here and there.

Don't you know you need to shell out money every month just to see furry art in a legible resolution? Apparently jacking off to commissioned, already paid-for art in their intended resolution isn't something you can just let anyone do. No, no, no, exporting your art in it's native resolution and high-quality file type for everyone to enjoy would be faaar too simple for a furry artist. Furry artists will go out of their way to export in lower resolutions and shitty file types, sullying their own art to incentivize their fans to go higher and higher up the Patreon tiers just for the honor of looking at their COMMISSIONED art pieces in their intended resolution. Guess they can't just give that shit away for free like they've done for over three decades. Oh, and with Totes, you need to shell out an extra buck to get anthro art. Furry tax, el oh fucking el.
Furthermore, in a bout of uncontrollable virtue-signaling and self-righteousness, the e621 staff nixxed the perfectly reasonable "two year rule" to please people who were already very financially secure thanks to horny furries. You know, I think they were bribed with commissions of their characters getting cumflated by Starfox lmao. Since many artists have little or no plans on releasing their art publicly, some even opting to charge for monthly volumes of their art, at a handsome , too! so unless you wanna go over to the sites who don't have the decency of giving the artists a seven-hundred and thirty day grace period; this thumb-nail, perview-esque image is the highest resolution you will ever, ever see this art in through legal channels.

Yeah so there's my boohoo poor person vent, and the reason why this jpeg so smol. And before anyone @s me, I don't have a problem with Patreon/Subscribestar or artists making more money off their work, I think it's a good thing artist can get routinely paid. My gripe is with money grubbing practices that these platforms enable, because furry artists are keenly aware that they produce something that has low supply and high demand, so they set absurd prices and gate keep their art from people who can't afford it. I just makes me yearn for a time when shit wasn't like this, you know?
And for that one person who still wants to @ me, google 'mangeka schedule' and take a moment to absorb that. That right there is a with a job, a J-O-B job with a capital J. Drawing 3~4 jpgs and/or one comic page a month is decidedly not a job and you know it.

actually the reason this is crap file is FA's fault, unless you know the work around to their file limit all posts get reduced to 1280 :V

  • God fucking damn it, so many potentially great pics are ruined by that dumb Kyra character. The two buttholes thing is so fucking stupid and makes no sense, which is saying something given the nonsense you already have to look past in porn.

EDIT: A blacklist doesn't at all fix the issue ( the issue being she exists and ruins an otherwise great pic ) but I get it.

    Agreed.
