First of all things, calm down. I had zero intention of making any negative actions againts you.
I did comment about this issue and let it lay low over night: comment #3023679
In the past I would wait for couple months and even convert and link webm versions directly, even dmail them to initial er, but in the end it would always end up me replacing the posts anyway. Meaning that especially if er wasn't the artist themselves, it was simply pointless job, even if it was nicer thing to do.
Thing is that if there are superior version of something, it should be on the site. Who ed it, shouldn't matter unless it's DNP content. Better versions of posts are always preferred on this site and they do get replaced all the time, especially because sites like tumblr does resize content and hide initial files.
Whatever is the case, please let's be civil about things and not break sites rules in the process. Now that you are aware that tumblr does store video files in higher quality, simply next time be aware of this and the best version directly.

Former StaffIf the reason why you are mad about this is because your post was replaced with better version, you need to learn how this site works and understand why that is. If you are getting attached to posts you , you might get similar situation in the future.
And this has happened to you in past, your ed post #548499, was replaced with post #548592 which was replaced with post #551547 which is now only version up. This is how the site operates, because for preservation you need highest quality version. Every posts will have the artists and characters tagged, no matter who ed the thing so those who did create it and are in it will always be credited like they should. Who ed it, is irrelevant because every single has the access to the button.
As for comments, if the file was kept longer and replaced later on, more comments would've been lost because replacement was inevitable. If you still want to read those comments, it's still possible by searching comments with the posts ID like so:
