    You mean like Adobe Flash Player, one of the most widely used browser plugins ever? The one that every browser has integrated into it?

    Forgive me if I sound rude. I just don't get what's so "special secret" about it. If you've used YouTube then you've used flash.

    Weasel might be hinting at the closed source nature of flash. Sadly I haven't been on a Linux desktop in a while, but flash and java used to be a drag for me as well.

    "Yay! I'm so hardcore I figured out how to get Linux going, my desktop is free, open sourced and I owe nothing to the man, etc! Oh wait, Internet. Let's install twenty pounds of proprietary binaries...."

  • that it is a drag, and also that for flash for instance making thumbnails is practically impossible. no introspection allowed.
