Just a bunch of error signs

imagine them being regular-sized errors instead of tiny ones. with the amount of soermatozoids in average sperm, it would crash any computer!

  • Gmod is binary compatible with Linux (my use of “Linux” and not “GNU/Linux” is valid since some distributions such as Alpine does not use the GNU core utils) and thus does not need proton

    her distro her rules.

besides I'd prefer to use a VM with a GPU through for gaming (if i could set it up correctly)

  • Valve's own source engine games run very well in native, I think using proton makes fonts render incorrectly.

If I , switching to the Windows build of GMod fixed a problem with Chromium.
There is this whole thing with how the game renders UI and it was broken/outdated in the superior 64 bit version (I literally can't run GMod without it. No, it is not because of furry models, NO). A fix exists on GitHub!
I am not sure of all the details though.

Also Steam had a problem where it chose the Windows build over Linux :P

In my short experience of playing Garry's Mod in Linux (not my fav game ngl, I just stuck to Project Zomboid most of the time), the native build is horrid, and I had no clue how to run the 64 bit version at the time (was an Ubuntu peasant then). Running it thru Proton, (as shown in the art), runs just about as good as it would run on Windows.

Shit runs horrid as native, its one of the few cases you actually need to run Proton despite the native build (I have no clue why, but source and Linux do not mix well).

Speak for yourself, I get double the FPS running source games natively

(double both compared to Proton and running the Windows version on Windows)
