    i think it was more about being one of the first games based off something really good in the media and having it apically fail than it just being a bad game. also it was just a really bad game. i understand ur point though about not having enough time to make a good game. it was pretty common practice back then to ship out games based on amount of time of developement rather than actual finished project. it was viewed more like developing the next action figure in a set than a full fleshed out videogame.
