2. e621 is an art archive. Look at the dates on the posts tagged with 'urbanhermit'; they've been drawing since the late 1970s, all the way up to the mid-to-late 2000s. Microsoft Paint did not even exist prior to 1985. Archives are meant to preserve work that is hard to find, even if it isn't up to your tastes.
