i own a ps3 and an X-box 360. if you really compare the two consoles, the ps3 wins hands down. my X-box got overplayed and i got red-ring. i did get that fixed, but then it started killing my disks. (and my wallet... sort of)
However, the ps3 has yet to pose me a problem. and the games are WAY better. if you look at the new Final Fantasy game, they had to cut a bunch of features because the x-box 360 couldn't run at the level needed fr the game. The ps3 is also backed by sony while the x-box is microsoft. Sony luckily has some integrity left, and though they are expensive, they have the trait of quality that microsoft threw away a long ass time ago.
people like to say the community on x-box is better and the games are better and all that crap, but sit down with codmw2 and play on both consoles. on x-box it was like playing with an armada of angry pre-pubescent boys. but the people on ps3 were way more mature. there was a lot less shit talk and a lot more friendly competition. i'v been an X-box gamer for a long time, but i found the ps3 to be far more desirable according to my tastes.

Memberyeah but the thing about x-box vrs ps3 is that although there are obvious differences, there arent that many, i own both systems and to be honest i wasnt surprised that my ps3 was the first to crap out and bring up some red screen with in incureable error. sure the games are fun and look great because of all the memory and such, but its too much packed in there for its own good, same for the 360. as for communty, both were so-so from my experience, a few dweebs here and there but all round cool people for each system. and if it really was boiled down to "Oh ps3 games LOOK better", 360 has HD adaptors....looks pretty much the same or its just me. but aaaaaanywaaaaaaay cute pic

And after a large discussion with other gamers here in my country (gamers of diferent consols), we settle that while x-box and ps focused on make their games more realistic, while nintendo simple make them funnier... And that's what I love about videogames, that they got me entretained. Even tetris did the trick with that.
