Description

It may seem hard to believe with all the pony dragons hoofing through the streets, but a dragon doesn't just turn right into a pony upon capture. The docile submissive acceptance of their place, the steady hobbled gait, the obedience and good behavior don't come naturally; they must be trained and tamed and learn their place before they can be led into the streets. Not just for the good of the public, but for their own good! A dragon too concerned by his humiliation won't pay attention to orders, a dragon who has not grown used to his restraints will not keep an acceptable and unobtrusive pace... you just never know the sort of fits and starts an unbroken dragon might throw at you.

But fear not, these fearsome beasts can be tamed, turned from frightening proud beasts into the docile ponies that are a much more familiar sight these days. Hueroc here is learning to master the careful hobbled gait of a pony-dragon, learning the thickness of the hoofs and the length of his chains so that he can stop stumbling so much and kicking up dirt. He needs to keep his boots shiny for quite a few circuits before he'll be considered to have learned how to walk properly! Yes, yes, I know, he looks mad, but he's stopped pulling against the exercise machine, he's accepting that he needs to follow orders and he's not growling so loudly as before. That certainly seems like progress to me! Perhaps Ashar's good behavior is rubbing off on him, or perhaps he's just tired of being cooped up in that belt. Well, being a good pony has its perks hmmm?
