JanitorStill not a fan of youtube filtering out shorts like this. My initial reaction was that someone heavily denoised or upscaled this video, but nope, that's literally how youtube just handles videos these days.
Stuff like text becoming super smudgy, like it just smooths into background in some parts and has darker outline in other parts. But I can assure that that was originally just solid color, regular written text and font.
Then drawn artwork looks like someone had sharpening filter put to max and it just is haloing to the max while still having some compression artifacts regardless.
When there's highly detailed parts like that hand, it just looks straight up generated imagery, super smoothed out.
