Doesn't the movie adaptation only have that ending? I think in the book they make it.

And Steven King was jealous over it.

  • Damn-- I've read the book and watched the movie (And parts of that shitty failed tv show on SPIKE)

Okay, in the book's ending. It is left ambiguous. Whereas it's up to the reader to debate on what happens to the characters as they drive off into the unknown.

And The Movie Adaptation by Frank Darabont. He captured his version of the story very unique. The creatures as well. Most of all Stephen King even liked Frank's ending better than his book's ending.

And what the Tv Show Adaptation failed at-- Was "They Didn't even Read the Book". It's not even set in Bridgeton, Maine. (They called it Bridgeville) And there wasn't a single familiar character from the book. At all. No one fitting the book's characters. Ironically the only one who remained the same was "Mrs. Carmody" that crazy religious woman.

    Overall.
This has to be Stephen King's best science fiction novella. 10/10

if someones making a tv show adaptation of any work, most of the time theyre gonna have to outright butcher the original work just so that they can stretch it across a season or maybe two depending on how money hungry theyre feeling at that point.
