  • That's a Mittsies song right...? Sounds familiar, but I can't which one it is.

  • This was really hot in a lot of ways, what a pleasant 2 minutes and 36 seconds, holy hell. That cuddle at the end though, daww :3

Fantastic animation, but for the love of all things holy, why does the music have to be so damn loud over the sound effects? It's almost pointless to have voice acting when it's so hard to hear them.

Why is there always someone complaining about the music? It's Haltie's thing okay, and there's a lot of us that like it.

  • Hell yeah, this was great! I think the music has much better balancing between it and the sounds, another awesome animation!

  • THANKS HALTIE

I prefer this kind of lyric-less upbeat melodic vibe compared to the ultra hard beat from Pendulum or Infected Mushrooms

I'm not complaining about the music itself, I'm complaining about its volume. It's so loud compared to the sound effects, and I really want to hear the voices acting without music blaring over everything.

Go look up the last long video he did on here with Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer. The one with the music got around 4500 likes while the one without the music got over 6000 likes. It's clear from both the amount of likes and the comments that a lot of people would at least like the music volume a little lower.

Haltie explained the reasons why he can't do videos with and without the music every animation, and it makes perfect sense, but surely turning the music volume down just a little bit on future animations wouldn’t be too much to suggest? Why go through the hassle of hiring voice actresses if you can barely hear them?

    What's the reason?

I would also personally enjoy this a lot more if there were versions without music.

Short version of why I'm not going to make version without music of every animation:
    - They are designed with music in mind, and don't work as well without it for various reasons.
    - I would have to make better sound effects for them, and sound design is something I don't particularly enjoy.
    - Any changes to the animation itself take more work and time than you'd think. Also, re-rendering an animation like this (e. g. to remove camera bobbing) can take up to a week. I have other projects I want to move on to, instead of doing alts of previous animations for weeks.

I have a hearing impairment that makes it difficult to distinguish speech in a loud environment, and have no difficulty hearing the dialogue in post #5214612.

I guess I could sometimes do versions with the music at a lower volume. Should I, really? I don't feel like flooding sites with numerous versions for different tastes.

while I say I'm fine with the volume (mostly because I turn stuff down anyways) this WOULD be the ONE site to technically "flood" with numerous versions.

I would suggest, as a person also with hearing issues, I can understand their gripe with the music, I have the same gripe, but with FNF mods that for some reason drown out the characters with the music, but either way, for this, a version where it's how you hear it fine, and one with, maybe the music being like... anywhere between 60%-80% total volume would be good for people as well, two versions every time wouldn't be really bad honestly.

especially for those like me, where I have issues hearing things through music, if something is said through loud music(or for people that VERY much enjoy hearing moans/voices OVER anything else/more equally), it can be a bit hard sometimes.
either way, great video, "I" specifically don't have an issue with how you mixed the sound, but I can very much understand other peoples gripes with the volume from music some things use at times.

in the end, you wouldn't be "flooding" anything if you just had a source version, and a "volume adjusted" version, tbh, this sites kind of the one place where that would work lol.
good animation, good video, good day.

be safe, and have a good day to you, and everyone else, be safe yall!

I mean I’m not saying that it’s impossible to hear the dialogue, especially since they’re subtitles to help understand what is being said, it’s just that the music really detracts from the mood when it’s too loud. Plus, while the dialogue is easier to hear thanks to the subtitles, the moans and breathing are still very hard to hear. I was watching this in bed on my phone, and I actually had to press my phone against my ear to hear if they were moaning at certain points.

And when I could hear them and the sound effects, I’m just going to say that I think you might be too hard on yourself thinking that you need better sound effects. They were either perfectly fine or absolutely perfect.

That’s completely up to you. I know that I’d love it, but I also know that this stuff takes a lot of work already, and I don’t want to impose on you any additional tasks. Especially since, despite my opinion on the volume, this is still an excellent animation.

Personally, I can hear the sound effects and voice acting fine, even in the previous video you mentioned that plays Bonfire. I've never had a hard time hearing and understanding what's going on in any of Haltie's videos. I think you and others are missing the point, the music itself is a main part of the experience, not just a complementary piece to the animation. I don't know why this is, but if you blast EDM to a porn video that matches the rhythm and mood, it somehow makes it hotter. I prefer the versions with music, even if the one without music got more likes. Haltie shouldn't have to explain themselves in every major post, they should be able to make their animations without being criticised for their taste. If you don't like it, cool, not a problem. Just downvote and leave it at that, and let's all go back to enjoying ourselves. I think complaining about something you don't like is actually against the comment guidelines.

Mittsies has cracked the code on horny music

You have no idea, been around since the Flash days and it was always perfect, honestly if we could go back to Flash it would solve this issue of "Music / No Music" complaints in every post I keep seeing. Still amazing work and not overbearing imo, if they care so much ask for a commission without it.

  • Another absolute banger of an animation with perfect music at the perfect volume.
Your anthro ponies are insanely hot, especially Luna.
