MemberMetroids would remain on SR-388, Ridley would have had to put together that mother brain is the main evil and fight to put a stop to her, heck most of the storyline would go in that direction and with the much longer time period of Metroids on SR-388, the X could be rendered extinct there.
I wager that Ridley COULD beat Raven Beak, so long as Ridley is not blinded by anger, which is something Gray Voice was able to do by specific taunting and actually beat on Ridley quite a bit until Mother Brain reminded Ridley that he was being intentionally angered, at which point Ridley was untouchable and wounded then killed Gray Voice.
Also that tail stab to gray voice was ONE thrust that punched through the chest of the armor and out the back. Ridley's tail has a reason why it does 60% damage on a direct hit.

MemberThe main tricky point in a reverse of fate for Ridley's role would be the X parasites and we know that Metroids are the only thing that can kill them beyond obscene destructive energies. After the metroids were locked in SR-388, Raven Beak went back to the Mawkin home planet to rally his forces, but one of the soldiers was infected with X and ZDR fell into chaos until Raven Beak contained them, and Raven Beak then went to go to SR-388 to harvest metroids, but couldn't because Samus wiped them out.
The time table is foggy as it's mentioned that Raven Beak sends the footage of the X parasite to bait out Samus since she has the metroid DNA in her.
In the alternate timeline, Raven Beak would likely get to work on his metroid program to whatever ends he'd go to and he'd basically start the issue that the Pirates did of using them as weapons. This could lead to certain aspects of something like the end of Metroid 2 happening the same (Ridley taking the same pity on the infant metroid he did on Samus) and leading into super metroid happening and even a followup like Fusion since, if Ridley was the protagonist who could somehow destroy metroids, then it stands to reason that if he was attacked by X and recovered, they would potentially make a vaccine since he'd be the "only one" who could reliably do so and would be worth using the experimental genetic treatment on.
But, that's a lot of IF's...
