Jesus wept. It's finally over...
Honestly, this was such a trek and I'm glad it's done. I had so many more ideas and I wanted to delve into a sequel but that was over a year ago and I'm just ready to move on. But gawddamn... Thanks for sticking with me, I know it can't be easy waiting for a rushed job but drawing isn't the biggest thing going on in my life. And even today, knowing how long it takes to make a page, I'll see some artist hasn't added to their comic and be like, "ugh, come on..." So, again, thanks for being patient!

So, there's some bigger stuff, like Lion King stuff coming down the pipeline and I really can't wait to share it with you. Peace!

That's it!? All this time & this all we get for our patience? There was hardly anything to it! What a rip off

It's not a rip off if you paid anything.

Did you pay for it? Did you invest a single dollar into it?

    No?

    Then shut up.

  • As obnoxious as certain comments are, this kind of is a nothingburger. You don’t have to be a paying customer to point that out.

I get that it’s a dark story about a young, naive new artist being taken advantage of, but the story put Porsha in that position by retconning her character development from Sing 2. But then if the plot was just an excuse for smut, it’s too brief. Some people, including me, found the casting couch setup here too realistic to be arousing, so after all the creepy buildup it just amounts to one blowjob? All that’s left is a mean-spirited story without much payoff.

Totally agree with pretty much everything in this comment, haha. Maybe I should have put a To Be Continued.

To be straight up, I do have the bones of a sequel stashed away in a folder but I really just began to feel burnt out. Even found drawing Porsha's unique face difficult in the end. Lots of stuff in life got in the way but this was still supposed to be done in a single summer and it took almost two years. I also started this comic as I was developing my style (just look at some of the early pages compared to the most recent)... so I would like a fresh start knowing everything I know now and just how much effort goes into a comic process.
The realistic story also leaves the door open for my sequel, which involves Ash and Rosita genuinely trying to help Porsha, and I really would like to explore that in the distant future.

But yeah, I like genuine constructive criticism like this, it definitely helps me as an artist and motivates me to go back and not leave things unfinished. And I hate the idea of letting fans down or viewers unsatisfied, so who knows what the future holds. Peace!
