I'm sure many of us have been to carnivals or amusement parks in our youth. Those brightly-lit, colorful spectacles of roaring roller coasters, jaunty music and raucous laughter. For many, the main attraction of such events are the rides: those intimidating mechanical marvels that deliver exhilarating thrills with nauseating after-effects; however, what carnival would be complete without games? The classics spring immediately to mind: knocking down cans, ring toss, darts to name just a few. But of all the challenging tests to be found beneath mesmerizing lights and canvas tents, one curious staple remerges time and time again: the balloon pop. Though it may come in many variants - from water pistols to thrown implements - one version stands the test of time: the simple pump to pop race.

Though many would decry these childish attractions as rigged, just another gaudy venue to extract disposable income, such claims are difficult to substantiate. But the alluring promise of elusive rewards will always stymie better judgement, and those comically large plushies might seem worth the risk. Besides, even if you don't achieve the big bang, there's always a consolation prize of some form, and failing that, the giddy joy and magical memories means everyone walks away a winner...right?

The rules are quite simple: once the bell rings you have only five minutes to pump up the fell beast: to make his belly bloat and his body creak. But do not underestimate the dragon's immense strength, for unlike mere balloons and common pool toys, he may swell to many times his starting size. Few poses the strength and stamina to achieve such a feat, but if by the buzzer, all that remains are mere scraps, then you'll take home a fabulous prize of your choosing! So, do you have the meddle to challenge the dragon?
