Vore involves heat, moisture, and often arousal. All of these things are present in sex, which is something nearly everyone enjoys. Being consumed can be partally present during sex as well (ie getting a blowjob, being licked, etc). To some people, it's also a display of dominance/submission, which is often present during sex as well, and is integral to many relationships. Not to mention, vore often presents a feeling of fear, something that is wholly primal in nature.
In short, it appeals to our primal instincts, specifically those related to sex, control, and fear.
