BlockedIf you actually bother paying attention to what the characters say about magical fire in pretty much any fantasy game/movie/book/whatever where they actually bother to talk about it, once the spell is released from the caster's control, the fire works exactly the same as non-magical fire. That means it needs fuel and air to burn, it produces light, it spreads to other flammable objects, and so on. Which would also mean that if you used it to burn an animal bad enough to kill it, it would, as I said, thoroughly scorch the outside while doing relatively little to the meat.
