Description

Shuza was an ordinary girl living in Britain. She was popular in highschool, got good grades, her dad ran a holo-terminal shop. There just wasn't much out of the ordinary for Shuza. Except one thing. In her freshman year of high school, she met a former slave from Neo Laurentia.

Her homeroom teacher, a former breeder slave now equipped with cybernetic prosthetic limbs, who seemed to actually greatly enjoy the time she spent as a Farmfather's amputated slave wife. She would talk about why they amputate certain women there and how it was all tied to their religion, Parvatism. And how despite what happened to her, she still practices that religion, and believes in it dearly.

The more she talked about what it was like, the more it stayed in Shuza's head. She found herself thinking about it at night, even during dinner with her parents. And occasionally, the idea would creep into her head when she went to bed.

But she wouldn’t have to wonder for long.

One night as she lay asleep in bed, a shadow darted in through her bedroom window, and shot a needle into her arm. She awoke the next day with her arms and legs removed and sitting next to other girls who had their limbs removed as well and placed in the back of a flying transport heading to Neo Laurentia, what was once the United States of America.

Ordinarily, soldiers of the NLM don’t bother taking Chimeran women, believing them to be cursed by God to be beast people. But sometimes Chimeran women are taken to be the wives of Farmfathers, to work the crops with cybernetics and sire the Farmfather’s offspring.

She was taken to a marketplace and placed next to other amputated women in a truck. Most human, a few Chimeran like her. Some were terrified, these ones were stolen from other lands. Others were calm, likely born in the land and amputated when they failed the physical aptitude tests. And many were watching with wide-eyed excitement at all the buyers showing up, and shouting ‘pick me’ to hopefully be the next one taken to their new life as a breeder.

A couple of men, a few women, and even some former amputated slave wives with cybernetics would walk up to the truck, and some of them asked about Shuza. The merchant always said the same thing. “This one is for Lloyd. He already claimed her before we touched soil in the night.”

And in to town he came. Farmfather Lloyd. A relatively short man of average stature with brown scraggly hair, and a warm country accent, he came in a large covered wagon truck, with two women sporting cybernetic limbs sitting at either side of him. One held a shotgun and kept a watchful eye, the other held his arm and looked up into his eyes as he drove the wagon. After getting out, he walked up to the slave truck after exchanging a short conversation with the truck owner and greeted Shuza with a warm ‘hello’.

He was different from the Inquisitors, soldiers, and shopkeepers. He had an air of caring, a genuine comion that was quite muted in the rest of the town. He talked with Shuza, talked with her about her life before being stolen in the night. Shuza knew that this was the man who now owned her, but the more he talked, the less scared she felt about the prospect. Despite how horrible her new limbless state was, especially being reduced to a breeder slave in the most hated country in the world, she could feel in her heart that this man had a genuinely good soul.

He picked her up and embraced her in the truck, keeping his words quiet. “I keep my ears to the scanner and I try to take in as many Beast girls like you as I can. That way you won’t end up with someone... bad. I know that you definitely would rather be back home, but I don’t have the kind of authority to send you there. Don’t worry. I know your whole life has been taken from you. But I’ll do everything in my power to make your new life with me as good as it possibly can be. I promise.”

As he gently placed her in the wagon, Shuza saw more girls in the back. All amputees and nearly half were Chimeran like her, and many had cybernetic limbs with marks on them that the local religion considers sacred. One of the girls with limbs moved a limbless girl over to Shuza who calmly started talking to her. As the wagon started to move, the girls with cyber limbs went back to playing their card game, with one even playing a portable computer game. They would chat and giggle and talk about this or that, but one thing was very clear. They loved Lloyd with all their hearts. Shuza felt a strange sense of comfort. As though everything would be alright.

Over the years, Shuza became a happily wedded amputated mother of 3 as the 27th wife of Farmfather Lloyd, the rest of the world forgetting about her. Shuza wouldn't have it any other way, as the love she felt for Farmfather Lloyd and her children was genuine, and being the wife of a Farmfather was everything that her best-case scenario could have been and more. When it was her turn to work, she would be given one of the 6 sets of Cybersanct limbs Lloyd owned and she would work the tomato fields, clean the home, and watch as her owner taught all of her and the other wives’ children how to read and do math.

Despite the circumstances, theirs was a life she loved more than any other, and wouldn’t trade for anything. She was truly happy.

But one year, the ground began to sour and the crops started failing. It wouldn't be too long before the Inquisitors showed up to take her and the rest of the wives and children away from her beloved Lloyd. In the shadow of night, Lloyd made arrangements with the secret group, the Mail-order Brides, and arranged to have his wives and children moved away in secrecy to Mexico, where they could then leave for Europe.

Lloyd and 10 of his wives who stayed with him after leaving, including Shuza, came to live at the Effigist church, where they produce food for their Holy Paladins now.

While there, Shuza came to wish that she could defend the family she now has, and that ion attracted a Quantum Suit from within the Paladin’s stores. The Paladin's allowed her to keep the suit if she could learn how to use it. She went on to become a member of Harriett's Harriers, independently contracted through the Effigist church and wielding the Slave type suit, now adorned with the Parvatist's Holy Slave symbol.
Using her new abilities she treks back into Laurentia, finding women who were abducted from their home nations, and returning them to the families they were torn from.

"This one walks the path of the all-mother. Once fit for nothing more than the facilitation of those who would follow me, this humble slave was given another chance to sing. My song is sharp, but not hollow. My truth is blunt, but not dense. My sword is honed by my love and devotion. And my view is clear."
