Have you ever heard of punctuation, or capitalization, ever?

That's kind of picky for a site where no one really cares to use such things. It really wasn't that bad.

thanks, i dont like people who criticize over a internet over something unnecessary and wasteful of their time. then again, why should i care about a literate nazi anyways?

i wonder how the shielding handles molecular acid.

I was under the impression that it would slide off before it could burn through... let's hope... lets hope... *Nods head slowly, aiming sniper rifle carefully at the falling targets*

... I'm never gonna hit that thing..

  • If his shield is still up it will just do some damage to it like any kind of splash explosion damage from a plasma going off near him. but if his shield is down (which it might considering the alien could have gotten a few slashes in) then it will proably do some damage to the suit but i think the gel crystal layer would stop it anyway. but its up in the air if he takes body damage or not. just my 2 cents as a Halo Fan. Great art btw.

Bad idea, Chief, acid blood tends to eat through things like power armor.

Yes, but power armor has electromagnetic deflector fields, which is why Spartans cannot drown, because liquids do not want to make with suit because high powered magnetic field, hence power armor.

Heh... if you were me you would have no problem, it's a mater of aiming where the target WILL be, and not where the target is(unless target is immobile). :3

Yes, but ing for distance, the speed of my bullet vs. the rate of decent... I'm not a math genius, I just pull the trigger.

Why would distinctly non-magnetic water be in anyway affected by any electromagnetic field?
Wouldn't the Spartans resistance to drowning have more to do with the environmentally sealed suit than fancy handwavium shields anyhow?
Regardless, since the alien is tackling him, I think it's safe to rule out his shield being up in the first place.

  • I think that Chief might lose this one, being at close range, but he probably could take a bunch of xenomorphs down at longer range with some good positioning and the right weapons.

About the acid, we should how Acid works, it's a chemical substance that reacts with some materials, corroding them. So if the shield is not made of matter, but a magnetic/energy field theres nothing to react with the acid. If it hits his unprotected armour, however, it may be strong enough to destroy it.

Yes, I know the comments are years old, but it was an interesting discussion.

PS: Epic pic, great for a poster.

  • oh come on the suit is tough enough to handle acid, I mean I'm a big halo fan and guess what he's been hit with an acid like attack before and it hurt the armor but not him.

Anyone who has ever played halo know damn well that falling into deep water will, in fact, kill your Spartan. The guy can fall from space at the beginning of the story, but the motherfucker dies when he goes in over his head; underwater that is.

The reason for your Spartan being able to fall from space in the case of noble 6 in reach its because he was actually wearing a M-spec re-entry pack, which creates a large energy shield around noble 6 in order for him to survive r-entry. In master Chiefs case he was not actually falling from space, In fact he fell just over 3km and the crystal gel layer of his MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor Mark IV absorbed most of the impact.

And the reason you die from going under water is a way of sowing you the boundaries of the map

Well.. Technically... Water is Magnetic.. Sort of in a way. it is polar and is subject to Electro Magnetism. In a way you take a brushed comb and hold it near a running faucet and it can drag the stream to the left or right a bit.

  • The chief has slaughtered ARMIES OF ENEMIES single handedley. Hell he blew a covenant assault cruiser with one bomb and a lucky launch out an airlock. A Xenomorph has nothing on him. It just equals a faster Sangheili Zealot.
